"Chachi's Future" is the twentieth episode of the ninth season of Happy Days, also, the 209th overall episode in the series. Co-written by William Bickley and Michael Warren, the episode, directed by Jerry Paris, premiered on ABC-TV on March 2, 1982.
Synopsis[]
Some tough questions from Howard Cunningham while they are on a fishing trip together cause eighteen-year-old Chachi to question his plans to make a living as a rock musician.
Storyline[]
Chachi decides to give up his dreams of rock stardom and take a more practical job as a floor cleaning machine salesman.
After a day of fishing with Howard, Chachi gets to thinking about his future when he realizes that being a success in the music business is a long shot. He leaves the house determined not to come back until he finds a career that would be sufficient to support Joanie should they get married one day. He tries his luck at being a salesman But, when his first demonstration at Arnold's turns out to be a flop, Chachi reverts to his ambition as a rock star.
