Ellen Travolta (born October 6, 1940) is an American actress, the eldest sibling of John Travolta. She is best known for her role as Louisa Arcola Delvecchio, the mother of Chachi Arcola (Scott Baio) on Happy Days, and its spin-off, Joanie Loves Chachi. She also played mother to Baio on the CBS-TV sitcom series Charles in Charge from 1987 to 1990.[1]

Acting career[]

Travolta played Mrs. Horshack-O'Hara in three episodes of Welcome Back, Kotter, on which her brother, actor John Travolta, starred as Vinnie Barbarino (played by her more famous brother, actor John Travolta) in the series.

Later in the 1970s, she played Dorothy Manucci in the short-lived television series Makin' It.[1] She played the part of Marion Keisker in John Carpenter's renowned 1979 television film Elvis.

Ellen's many guest TV show appearances include Quincy, M.E., Three's Company, The Misadventures of Sheriff Lobo, The Single Guy, and CBS-TV's Judging Amy. She also had recurring roles on the ABC-TV soap General Hospital (as Gloria Cerullo) and the NBC-TV soap series Passions (as Alice).
