Fonzie the Salesman was the 17th episode in the third season of Happy Days, and also, the 56th overall series episode. Written by Dave Dulcon, the episode, which was directed by Jerry Paris, premiered on ABC-TV on January 13, 1976.

Synopsis[]

When his garage gets a new owner, Fonzie decides to quit. He is unable to find another job as a head mechanic, but, with Howard as his inspiration, vows to find his true calling.

Storyline[]

When Herb's garage is taken over by an eccentric new owner (Richard Stahl), Fonzie does not agree with the new working conditions and resigns. Fonzie is then unable to find another job as a mechanic; but after a pep talk from Howard, he vows to find another career, and takes a job selling encyclopedias door-to-door.
