Fonzie the Superstar was the nineteenth episode of [[[Season 3 (Happy Days)|Season 3]] of the ABC-TV series Happy Days, also the 58th overall episode of the series. The episode was written by Arthur Silver and Barry Rubinowitz and directed by Jerry Paris. It was originally aired on January 27, 1976, on ABC-TV.

Synopsis[]

With Potsie away, the guys try to get Fonzie to take his place as the band's singer for the Senior Dance.

Storyline[]

With Potsie having gone out of town, the band has no lead singer for the Saturday Senior Dance, until Ralph informs Arnold that Fonzie could fill in. When Fonzie finds out, he is less than pleased; and worried that he is no Elvis, Fonzie may actually not be good at something for once.

  • Notes: Laverne and Shirley sing backup for Fonzie on his rendition of "Heartbreak Hotel". This episode originally aired on the same night that Laverne & Shirley debuted on ABC. Also, this episode marks the final appearance of "Sticks" Downey (Jack Baker).
  • This episode marks the very first mention of Pinky Tuscadero, who would later be played by actress Roz Kelly in three episodes.
