"Hi-Yo Fonzie, Away!" is the seventeenth episode of the Season 9 of Happy Days, also the 206th overall episode in the series. Co-written by Fred Fox, Jr. and Rich Correll, the episode, directed by Jerry Paris, first aired on ABC-TV on February 9, 1982.
Synopsis[]
The gang works to give Fonzie the birthday present of his life—a face-to-face meeting with his hero, the Lone Ranger.
Storyline[]
Howard and Chachi go above and beyond to try to win a dinner with the Lone Ranger for Fonzie's birthday while the Fonz begins to wonder if he should start thinking about settling down with just one girl.
- Note: The Lone Ranger is played by actor John Hart, who played the Masked Man from 1952 to 1953. Clayton Moore, best known as the Lone Ranger in the TV series, was prohibited from appearing due to a legal dispute with the owner of the Ranger character.
