The Malachi Brothers are two eccentric street hoods and con-artists who follow demolition car derbies and use underhanded means to win the contests, such as the "Malachi Crunch." They go by Myron "The Count" Malachi and Rocco "Jumpy" Malachi. They were played by Ken Lerner and Michael Pataki.
Bio[]
Not much is known about the Malachi Brothers. They are Spanish in ethnicity, a fact Count "Myron" plays up his to feed his ego his conquistador legacy. He dresses as royalty and often enters rooms announcing, "Let the pigeons loose!" Jumpy is less eccentric and more smarter somewhat, giving in to his brother's imagination, but they are both still basic street hoods. They are given to criminal behavior with the Count planning their crimes and Jumpy carrying them out. They drive a black Plymouth.
Before the 1961 Demolition Derby in Milwaukee, the Malachis renew their feud with Fonzie after he interferes in their slight with Richie Cunningham and his friends. They then turn their anger toward Fonzie and Pinky Tuscadero, trashing Pinky's car so she can't compete. Fonzie repairs Pinky's car just in time to enter the derby as the Malachi's take out all the other cars. Fonzie, Pinky and the Malachis become the last four cars, however, Pinky is taken to the hospital after being hit climbing out of her car to repair it, leaving Fonzie alone with the Malachis. Fonzie avoids the Malachi Crunch (a two-car collision) by feigning engine trouble and letting them take each other out. He then goes after the Count and humiliates him in public. In a gesture of humble good sportsmanship, the Malachis pay Pinky's hospital bills before off to Detroit for the next derby
Their later whereabouts are unrevealed.
