"The Society Party" is the first episode of Laverne & Shirley. Written by Bob Brunner, the episode, which was directed by series creator and executive producer Garry Marshall, the brother of series co-star Penny Marshall (who plays Laverne DeFazio), the series made its network premiere on ABC-TV on January 27, 1976.
Synopsis[]
Laverne and Shirley are invited by Tad Shotz, the nephew of the girls' boss at Shotz Brewery, to a formal society party.
Storyline[]
The girls, Laverne DeFazio and Shirley Feeney, who are both employed at Shotz Brewery, mingle at a party being thrown by their boss's family. Henry Winkler guest stars as Fonzie from Happy Days.
